“Blessed are the pure in heart for they shall see God” is one of the most profound, enlightening and hope instilling statements that has ever been made.
So what does it mean to be pure in heart? Well that is what we are addressing in this workshop.
- Is it hard? No!
- Does it require a lot of time? No!
- Does it require huge sacrifices? Only of what is not true!
“God is the experience of looking at a tree and saying, ‘Ah!'” ~ Joseph Campbell
To become pure in heart and to see God (Truth) means that we lay aside all of our assumptions and allow Truth (God), which lies deep within us, to be heard.
The materialist, literalist, academic, fundamentalist, scientist and religionist all look for the truth out there. And they never find it.
The mystic looks for truth within. And, more importantly, trusts that truth when it is found.
